UMI Touch, considered the company’s Flagship of 2016 is really just a solid Mid-tier Smartphone with similar aesthetics and design to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. It is All metal with Unibody design coupled with a 4000mAh battery at it’s sleeve, giving it around 15 days of Standby power. The phone also runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Speaking of hardware, it is powered by the Mediatek MT6753 Octa Core Processor, similar used on other midrange Smartphone’s like the Bluboo Touch, Ulefone Be Touch 3 and the Doogee F3 Pro, just to name a few. It is also a bit slower than the Helio X10 of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. The phone also is equipped with a 5.5 inch, IPS, 1080p Display with a 2.5D Arc or curved screen and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Also at the front, the tactile home button also serves as Touch ID Support or Fingerprint Scanner.

At the rear is a 13 MP camera with an improved Sony IMX328 Sensor with Dual LED Flash built in, the front camera also comes with a 5.0 MP Hynix HI553 sensor with Front LED Flash, a feature that is not too common nowadays. The camera boasts improve image quality and video performance as well as better low light performance with it’sCMOS adaptive sensor.

Similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, the phone also offers a 4000mAh battery, which will probably give it around 8 hours of continuous usage, and about 15 days of standby time. Although no mention on Quick Charging Support, the higher capacity battery will give it a boost on typical or normal usage.

In terms of connectivity, you have your Standard connectivity options available, although it doesn’t support NFC or USB Type C connectivity.

The bigger the battery, the better

Performance wise, the UMI Touch clearly isn’t Flagship caliber, but in terms of feature and value, it offers much more. The bigger battery would probably be one of it’s best asset aside from the revamped camera. It is overall a great and solid midranger, that offers pretty much the same features of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, albeit a bit cheaper.
