Bluboo X9 – Ultra-affordable Midranger with Fingerprint Scanner
The Bluboo X9 is a cheap Mid-tier Smartphone that offers similar aesthetics to iPhone 6 and comes with Biometric Fingerprint Scanner.

Bluboo is not your typical well-known name in the Smartphone market, unlike Xiaomi or Meizu. But they have released as of late totally capable devices. Most popular of which is their Flagship “Bluboo Xtouch”. However, specs wise one might argue that the specs do not necessarily categorize it as a Flagship. They have also released their Ultra affordable models “Blueboo Xfire”, sub$100 Smartphones that are more budget oriented phones rather than media focused. Anyway, the Bluboo X9 has almost the same specs of the Xtouch, but the company places it between their Flagship and their Ultra-budget models. It is a bit cheaper compared to the Xtouch, which is interesting considering both phones offer pretty much the same hardware.
What’s interesting about the Bluboo X9?
The Bluboo X9 is a Mid-tier smartphone powered by Mediatek’s MT6753 Octa core Processor with 3 GB RAM and Mali-T720 Graphics chipset. In case you’re wondering, how different it is compared to the Bluboo Xtouch, you can refer to the table below.

The design has a clear resemblance with the iPhone 6, smooth curved edges and a 2.5D Arc screen and aluminum body. However, the similarities end there, the rear back cover is removable, revealing contents to the removable 2500mAh battery, Simcard Slots and MicroSD card slots. Also at the rear is the Biometric Fingerprint Scanner, which frankly has become a mainstream feature of most Mid-Tier handsets.
Furthermore, the display features a 5.0 inch, IPS display with a 1080p or FHD resolution. The Screen is an IPS Panel JDI screen which offers more vivid colors and contrast compared to ordinary IPS panels. The handset runs the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.
Fast Focus Camera and Anti Shake Feature
The camera of the X9 isn’t really impressive, but it isn’t bad either, it still manages to take great looking shots and videos especially with good lighting. Focus time has also improved with minimal blurring on shots especially when the object is moving. Also a big plus is the addition of Anti-Shake feature, which greatly improves video quality, even though it is digital Image Stabilization.
Like the Xtouch minus the Scratch and Drop Resistance
Unlike it’s flagship counterpart, the feature that permanently separates the X9 over its big brother is being labelled “unbreakable”. Considering most marketing videos of the Xtouch focused more on surviving Drops, Hammer test etc… Thus, the Bluboo X9 is more of a low profile Mid-tier Smartphone, with a status quo similar to phones such as the Mlais M52 Plus or the DooGee F3 Pro.
